What's in Kim's Mailbox?
In yesterday's email I said we'd be taking a look today at the video sales letter this email sends you to when you click one of the links...
In the breakdown I did yesterday, I focused primarily on the many compliance and factual issues with this email. Aside from those issues (legal and ethical), it's obviously stoking a lot of fear AND urgency, two powerful emotions that inspire prospects to act. So I guess I shouldn't be too surprised when I went to do a breakdown on the VSL today and this happened... Yes, if you click that link above it will take you to a Loom video. I was going to do a walk-through of the opening of the VSL so we could watch it together. But now, that's not going to happen... You see, their email and VSL worked so well, they sold out. (OR they got in some hot water with the FDA...who knows?) Luckily, the other day when I got this email promotion I took a few screenshots of the opening of the VSL. I also saved the VSL transcript as a PDF so I could study it later. Here's a quick Loom breakdown of me walking you through it...
And here are the two screenshots I took of the opening of the VSL before it got taken down (I go over them in the above link).
Yours for smarter marketing,
P.S. In the midst of all this "doom and gloom", I hope you're holding up okay. For some reason I woke up this morning feeling more optimistic than I have in a while.
It may have been the dream I had before I woke up. I had one of those anxiety dreams where I was out in the woods with my dog and then she got lost and I couldn't find her. I was calling her and calling her, and was at a neighbor's house, and then my dog suddenly showed up. So it had a happy ending.
I know it sounds crazy, but it makes me feel like there's going to be a happy ending to all of this. We're going to get through it. Hang in there, and stay positive.
